CM Naidu launches 2nd phase of Pasupu-Kumkuma scheme, welfare pension
On 2nd February 2019, 2nd Phase of Pasupu-Kumkuma (Turmeric-Kumkum) scheme and welfare pensions was launched by Chief Minister of Andhra PradeshShri Chandrababu Naidu.

  • International Spice Conference 2019
    International Spice Conference 2019 with the theme  ‘Challenges of Change, Redefining the Value Chain’ is considered as a platform for all business houses, the spice associations, the policymakers, the farmers and the users to interact and connect each other.
  • The fourth edition of this conference was held in the City of Pearls and the capital city of Telangana-Hyderabad.  
  •  The 3rd  edition of this conference was held in Jaipur with the theme ‘Managing Disruptions through Transformation and Collaboration’.  
  • The twelveth edition of Aero India, 2019, will be held at Air Force Station at Yelahanka in Bengaluru from February 20 to 24.
  • The landmark visit of Catholic Church head Pope Francis and Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed El-Tayeb to The United Arab Emirates begins today.
    o The three day-visit of the two religious leaders will see their participation in the Human Fraternity Conference which is being organized today and tomorrow in Abu Dhabi.
  • Aim of Aero India 2019: To provide a significant platform in bolstering business opportunities in the International aviation sector.
  • The tagline of Aero India 2019: “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities”.
  • Rajiv Nath was conferred with the prestigious ‘Award of Appreciation’ Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare for his contribution to the Global Public Healthcare sector.
  • In Jammu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stones for new All India Institute of Medical Sciences at Vijaypur and Samba, a 624 Megawatt Kiru Hydroelectric project and 850 Megawatt Ratle Hydro Electric project in Kishtwar.

    • INS Dronacharya team won the overall regatta trophy (called The Cock).
    • The Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) School & Diving School secured the runners up position.
    • Rajiv Nath was conferred with the prestigious ‘Award of Appreciation’ Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare for his contribution to the Global Public Healthcare sector.
    • Nath was honored for his valuable, remarkable and outstanding achievements in the field of healthcare & community services for affordable Medtech access & patients safety initiatives.
  • Former Planning Commission member and ex-director of IIMC Hiten Bhaya (98yrs) passed away. Hiten Bhaya was a member of the Planning Commission and had also served as director of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) and chairman of Hindustan Steel.
  • The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is going to get its new communication satellite GSAT-31 aloft in space on February 6 from French Guiana on a hired European rocket.
